MORES staff have assisted in missions and solicited funds from donors to support local development, capacity building and institutional strengthening projects.

MORES has conducted municipal development works under funds from the EU, World Bank, Lille Metropole Communaute Urbaine (as part of decentralized cooperation), and the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation.

MORES is registered, qualified and recognized as a consulting firm by the Council for Development and Reconstruction (CDR) on projects with budgets exceeding 20 Million US dollars, and by the Ministry of Environment of Lebanon.

Raji Maasri

General Manager – Senior Environmental Expert

Raji Maasri is a seasoned environmental consultant with over three decades of experience. Having led numerous projects for organizations such as the World Bank, EU, and the Council for Development and Reconstruction (CDR), Mr. Maasri has a proven track record in implementing sustainable solutions. His expertise spans from comprehensive environmental impact assessments for large-scale infrastructure projects to developing waste management strategies for municipalities. Founder of MORES s.a.r.l., Mr. Maasri has contributed significantly to projects like the freshwater assessment for the Shouf Biosphere Reserve and the optimization of solid waste facilities in Lebanon.

VP Administration – Senior Structural Geology and Hydrogeologist Expert

Dr. Aayadi is a skilled geologist and hydrogeologist with a Ph.D. in Structural Geology and Applied Geophysics. With experience in Tunisia and Lebanon, Dr. Aayadi specializes in environmental impact assessment, waste management, and water resource management. Her academic background and practical experience make her a valuable asset in site selection, environmental impact assessment, and sustainable development. Dr. Aayadi’s commitment to community engagement shows in her role as President of the Association for Community and Environment (ACE) and in environmental initiatives.

Dr. Stephan is a prominent biodiversity expert with over 25 years of experience working with international organizations such as UNDP, FAO, and GIZ, and 27 years with academic and public institutions. Dr. Stepham holds a Ph.D. in Physiology and Molecular Genetics, focusing on plant growth influenced by microclimate and tree architecture. His career highlights include leading biodiversity assessments for nature reserves, developing management plans, and contributing to climate change adaptation projects. His affiliations with the Association Internationale des Forêts Méditerranéennes and the IUCN SSC Global Tree Specialist Group underscore his expertise in forest ecology and biodiversity conservation.

GIS Expert

Ali Koumaiha is a seasoned professional with a strong background in geospatial technology and environmental geology. Holding a Bachelor’s and Master’s in Geology from the American University of Beirut, with additional training in GIS, remote sensing, and photogrammetry from various institutions, the expert brings extensive expertise to the field. With experience in Lebanon and Nigeria, his work includes leading projects like GIS water databases for North Lebanon and West Bekaa and overseeing the development of urban planning and cartographic solutions for multiple municipalities and countries. Currently serving as the Director of the Geomatics Department at GIS/Transport, Ltd, he manages significant projects such as the Zawarib Beirut initiative and the UN-ESCWA Hydrogeology project.

Redha Hamdan

Socio Economic Expert

Redha Hamdan is a distinguished professional with extensive experience in economic analysis and social development. Holding a Maitrise in Econometrics from Lumière University and a B.A. in Economics and Social Administration, the expert excels in team leadership, project management, and statistical analysis. As the Vice-Managing Director at the Consultation and Research Institute (CRI) in Beirut, he oversees a broad range of projects funded by international organizations, focusing on socio-economic development and feasibility studies. His work includes impactful studies such as socio-economic impact assessments for UNDP and the World Bank, and capacity-building initiatives for Lebanese and Syrian public entities.

Mona Khechen

Urban and Regional Development Planner

Mona is an independent urban and regional development planner and senior faculty member at the American University of Beirut (AUB). With extensive experience consulting for international organizations such as UN-Habitat, the World Bank, and UNDP, Mona has worked across Lebanon and globally, focusing on urban development, socio-economic planning, and territorial strategies in regions facing rapid urbanization, conflict, and forced migration. She has led numerous research initiatives, including projects addressing climate change and land governance in the Arab region. Mona holds degrees from the American University of Beirut, University College London, and Harvard University and is a registered architect in Lebanon.
