Project Description:
The
Leisure Hill Complex & Port de Plaisance project consists of
building and managing a touristic complex including a marina
jetty with a ski drive station, sports playgrounds,
restaurants, swimming pools, landscaped area, a cable car
“telepherique” and a helipad. The complex represents a
complement to the recreational activities of the existing Le
Royal Hotel where the “telepherique” line will link the hotel
to the marina complex. The project is located in Dbayeh and
Zouk El Khab cadastral areas, in the Metn caza, north of
Beirut. The total surface area utilized by the project is
59,885 m² where 58,825 m² is comprised of reclaimed land
(39,217 m² of reclaimed maritime properties and 19,608 m² of
enclosed water) and 1,060 m² of public properties (or
right-of-way)

Services
included: Analysis and definition of legal and administrative
framework; review of marina complex plans; baseline surveys,
collection of data related to the physical, biological and
socio-economic environment in and around Dbayeh / Zouk El
Khrab (in particular to the wastewater network in the area);
analysis of impacts, develop mitigation measures for all
potentially impacts; develop an environmental monitoring,
contingency and emergency response plan; and environmental
management plan to reduce or eliminate negative impacts during
construction and operation of the touristic complex and
conduct a public participation.
