Project Description: The project consists of collecting the waste generated by
the local citizens of Assia and sending them to a small scale
sorting and composting facility.
The composting process consists of three small drums (1.4
m diameter and 1.2 m length) each divided into two compartments.
The capacity of each drum is 1.5 tons and each compartment
is sufficient for the fermentation of waste generated on a
daily basis. The compost then undergoes a maturation stage
prior to sale for agricultural usages. Recyclable materials
will be sold in the local market.
Services:
Collection and analysis of data pertaining to the local environment
in Assia (physical, biological and socio economic).
Impact assessment particularly in relation to traffic, air
quality, noise, water quality, waste generation, health and
safety, and socio economic impacts.
Developing mitigation measures, environmental monitoring and
management plans to minimize the impacts during construction
and operation of the composting facility.
Coordination with the head of the Municipality of Assia to
assure public participation.
Cost analysis for the proposed system
Preparation of the necessary documentation for submitting
the file for financing.
